The castle grounds as well as the rooms are all beautiful, and great for exploring...lots of little hideaways to find, and spectacular views of the river and valley below. There's also easy access to trails from the castle grounds that take you along the tops of the hills in which the castle sits. The staff were fantastic too - the staff member that greeted us for check-in (Mira, if we're remembering her name correctly) even called a local restaurant on our behalf, to order food for dinner.

The reception staff were extremely helpful and even provided an electrical adapter when I realized I had left mine at my previous stop. The included breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, with plentiful choices. We ate dinner at the Puricelli restaurant both nights, and the meals were exceptional. We took most of a day to explore the castle, and only left the property to hike the trail just behind the castle. I will recommend Burg Reichenstein to anyone traveling to this area.

I understand how hard it is to maintain a hotel, let along in a historical building. The check in process was a big surprise, staff welcomed us so friendly and attentively, even when we check in very late, all the details inside the room, nice and warm, great view on balcony, the beautiful room key, heart warming welcome letter, spotless bathroom, well selected amenities(love the homemade shower gel), I felt like stepped into centuries ago. The moment I stepped on the staircase made me realized how fragile and precious this place is, it's a privilege to have the opportunity to stay here. The breakfast is tiniest yet the best that I ever had, food are fresh and well made, food counter is nicely displayed with the generous variation of food and drinks. I personally love the dining area, where gave me a peace of mind, I spent 2 hours having breakfast and enjoyed it every much. Also, there's a most beautiful smoking room in Germany, next to the most beautiful lady's room in the fireplace area. I will love to come again in spring to enjoy the castle garden, where is a hidden gem of this hotel. Photos can be spoilers for this castle hotel, just go and experience it. You will love it like I do.
